Colston Hall is run by Bristol Music Trust, a registered charity created to develop the Hall’s artistic programme, promote music and music-making in Bristol, and lead the redevelopment of Colston Hall. For more about the work of Bristol Music Trust and our impact, please see our About us pages.
We passionately believe music has the power to transform lives and it must be available to all of us – this lies at the heart of all we do. We hope you enjoy reading what’s going on at Colston Hall, and with our education arm Bristol Plays Music, and how your support helps the Bristol Music Trust to thrive.
Your contribution, whether large or small, is vital to our continued success. Your help will enable others in the South West to enjoy the best music and music education on offer, regardless of their background, ability or personal circumstances.
In 2017, Colston Hall celebrates its 150th birthday, and quite frankly it looks its age. There has been no major refurbishment in the last sixty years, and it is the only major concert hall in the UK not to have been redeveloped in recent times. Left much longer, the Hall will not be fit for purpose.
Doing nothing is not an option. So we are doing something about it. Find out about our plans and how to support on our Transformation pages.
We need your help to achieve our ambitious plans – turning our iconic building into something that we can all be proud of – as a city, region and nation.
Thank you for your gift.
