Colston Hall presents its sixth year of Terrace Sessions, and this year its a series of four parties featuring the cream of party-organisers from Bristol and beyond, all taking place on our sun-drenched terrace looking out over the city.

Taking place on Fridays throughout August, each session starts straight after work at 6pm for the ultimate weekend party vibes. So head on over, crack open a beer and soak up some summer rays.

Terrace Session #1: Falling Up Presents

FallingUp’s Jay L & Andy Mac play host to the first Terrace Session of the summer bringing Danny Bushes along for the ride. Known for his unbridled enthusiasm for unearthing hidden gems, Danny P Bushes combines a dark mix of dub science, techno and house with all sorts of breezy and obscure psychedelic weapons thrown in from reggae to post-punk to highlife.

Terrace Session #3: Tropical Tea Party

Armed with their flowers, limbo sticks and sunshine grooves, Bristol’s notorious Tropical Tea Party are coming to give our roof terrace their lavish tropical makeover and throw one epic summer party! With some of the best selectors around showcasing the finest reggae, afro, latin, world music and global beats complete with special guest musicians, this is not one to miss! So come along… and FEEL WELL TROPICAL!!

An iconic name in dance music, A Guy Called Gerald stands out for consistent innovation, excellence and refusal to compromise. He kick started Europe’s acid house frenzy releasing the first UK acid house record, the ’88 classic ‘Voodoo Ray’ and ‘Pacific State’ and went on to lay down the blueprint for jungle / drum n bass. Join him for a night of uncompromised beats with a three-hour set from the man himself for the final Terrace Sessions of the summer.
