Sound Surgery Masterclasses

Presented by Multi-Track - Bristol Music Trust's into industry portal

In this fresh masterclass series presented by Multi-Track, join some of the most respected masters in sound, as they break down their craft and show you how to be heard above the noise. Get 1-2-1 advice on how to tweak your beats, learn new techniques, or pick up totally new skills.

2018’s Sound Surgery Masterclass series kicks off with dubstep/grime ‘king of bass’ Joker, followed by Sam Interface of Jus Now and the sub-heavy sound of the UK Underground. Things are rounded off in the final masterclass by Bristol-grown electronic and D&B legend Om Unit.

Hosted by producer and DJ Kayla Painter at Rough Trade Bristol, artists will give a 360° view of their journey and one-off insights into how they honed their skills.

Drum and bass producer Sam Interface and well-known Trinidadian percussionist and producer Lazer Beam form the two halves of Jus Now. In this second masterclass they’ll split apart their sound and how they combine Soca rhythms with the sub heavy sound of the UK Underground.

Om Unit
