sir Was – CANCELLED

Colston Hall Presents at Hy-Brasil

Unfortunately, the venue for this Bristol show will be closing down at the end of September and we have not been able to secure another venue there for that date.

Instead, the show has been moved just up the road to the Komedia in Bath. Tickets for this new event on  Mon 25 Nov are available here.

Dreamy groove pusher Joel Wästberg (aka sir Was) caught the attention of eclectic listeners in 2017 with his mesmerising, genre-twisting debut record ‘Digging a Tunnel’. Combining Pan-African rhythms, funk, electronica and jazz with “precision-engineered disorder” (Clash), sir Was creates lush soundscapes “though a massively eclectic listening palette” (Pop Matters). He returns in 2019 with a new kaleidoscope of sounds and his second record ‘Holding On To A Dream’ featuring collaborator Little Dragon. Be sure to catch his subtle beats, classic soul and old-school hip-hop at Hy-Brasil this autumn.
