Saffron Records Launch

Newly founded all-female record label Saffron Records launches its mission to give young women the platform, training and mentoring they need to access the music industry. Former Kosheen band member Sian Evans will perform alongside Patron of Saffron Records Eva Lazarus, Bristol based singer- song writer and front woman for Bristol-based band Dub Mafia. Supporting artists include talented young singer and song -writer Sophie Ellam, spoken word artist Nadine Bourne and underground female rapper Skrilla UGQ.

The launch presents an opportunity for young women who are keen to access the music industry to bring along their work, discuss opportunities for progression and find out how to get signed. Inspiring industry icons will perform and act as role models at the event, encouraging the next generation to have courage, confidence and move forward in their musical careers.

There will be also opportunities to discuss Saffron Records’ Apprenticeship Programme, which will recruit one Digital Marketing and one A&R apprentice. Successful candidates will work with PR agency We Are Plaster and independent label Futureboogie, two reputable companies based within the city. The apprenticeships will be delivered in association with Boomsatsuma, a creative arts agency.
