Os Mutantes

Back in the early sixties, cult Brazilian band Os Mutantes were at the centre of a subversive art movement called Tropicália. They fused psychedelia with traditional samba and bossa-nova rhythms to make “kaleidoscopic, politically-charged rock” (Billboard). In this “head-turning comeback” (BBC Music) experience the “go-go beats, dreamy vocals, jump cuts and fuzz-guitar solos” (The Guardian) that inspired artists like Beck, David Byrne and The Flaming Lips.

This is a standing show in The Lantern.
