Are you a musician that loves to improvise? Like turning someone else’s tunes on their head? In Multi-Track’s Chaos From Order workshop, join sound artist and beatboxer Jason Singh as he shows you how to demolish and reconstruct songs through innovative improvisation.

Jason has collaborated with some hugely influential musicians including Nitin Sawhney, Yazz Ahmed and Rokia Traore. We’re inviting electronic musicians, vocalists and instrumentalists, who have some songwriting and performance experience, to join him and bring their skills and learn new ways of improvising with others to create chaos from order.

At this workshop:

  • Discover Jason Singh’s unconventional process of songwriting
  • Rework workshop participants’ unfinished pieces
  • Explore how voice can be used as an instrument
  • Add exotic genres and styles to your songwriting influences
  • Be inspired and think differently about songwriting

Please be prepared to bring some of your own song sketch ideas or rough demos to be used within the workshop. No fully formed songs please.

This is a free, but ticketed event. Spaces are very limited and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Ages 18-25

Designed for confident musicians who have some songwriting and performance experience plus an interest in improvising with others.
