As part of Bristol New Music, Colston Hall hosts a triple bill of artists. Experimental pianist Leon Michener presents Klavikon, a reimagining of  ‘electronic’ music without the use of conventional processes, instead employing a unique system of amplified prepared piano. Augmenting the 88 keys with his own inventions and found objects – a custom made pick up, a robot dog- he delivers cascading batteries of percussion, sub-basses and abstract soundscapes. The Observer says Michener is “a gifted and imaginative British pianist with an exquisite touch”.

Roly Porter started his career as one half of groundbreaking project Vex’d. His second solo album, ‘Life Cycle of a Massive Star’, was released in 2013. Addison Groove, previously known as Headhunter, has made big waves on the UK bass music scene, with stripped down drum machine beats, acid basslines and hip-hop / booty-leaning vocals.
