Joker – Sound Surgery Masterclass

In the first of Multi-Track’s new series of Sound Surgery Masterclasses, dubstep/grime ‘king of bass’ Joker gives 1-2-1 advice on how to tweak your beats, learn new techniques and pick up totally new skills.

The British record producer Liam McLean, better known as Joker, will unpick the complexities of the subgenre “purple sound”, showcase his sizeable collection of vintage synthesisers and share guidance on how to be heard above the noise in the underground grime world.

1-2-1 Feedback opportunity
There will be some time to receive 1-2-1 feedback on your music from Joker; please bring along any examples of your work on USBs or SoundCloud links etc, and register your interest on arrival.

Due to time limitations this will be done on a first come first served basis.

Post-event networking / music sharing
The café/bar at the Rough Trade venue will be open until 10pm if you would like to  spend time networking or sharing your music with others after the session too.

What is the Sound Surgery Masterclass series?

Multi-Track is Bristol’s into-industry portal which disrupts the norm by applying a fresh approach to learning and provides creative development opportunities to advance the city’s underground music scene.

They present the Sound Surgery Masterclass series, led by influential producers, engineers, MCs and singers, which showcases how these artists create their art and gives guidance to artists on how to be heard above the noise.
