Jenny Hval

Experimental singer/songwriter Jenny Hval stops in The Lantern following the release of her new album Apocaplyse Girl, which is the follow-up to her 2013 LP Innocence is Kinky and 2014’s Meshes of Voice, for which she received a Norwegian Grammy. Pitchfork describes Hval’s work as ” cryptically pleasurable, prone to breeding obsession, and full of surprises”. Of Apocalypse Girl, The Guardian says “It’s provocative, but these are ideas rarely heard in pop, which makes it all the more compelling.”
