So come, one and all, to the Hoo-Ha party: Bristol’s most splendiferous free festival for families is back!

Flying Seagull Project

Taking over the foyer for a second day in a row, the Junior Jungle gang kick-start the second day of Hoo-Ha with a bang!
The Bonkers Balloon Science Show
Balloons are fun right? Well, if balloons are fun then that must mean that science is fun too! Balloonatic Becky loves balloons and she wants to show you just how much you can learn from them. The Bonkers Balloon Science Show is full of thrills and spills, pops and bangs and is highly interactive.
14:00 – 15:00
Award Winning live, professional concert series, Lilliput Concerts exist to bring the best classical music to the smallest of people. Presenting top international performers at monthly concerts in Bristol and Cheltenham, this is the perfect place for your family to share a love of music. Babies cry, toddlers may dance and parents can just relax. This month, as part of the Colston Hall Hoo-Ha we present percussionist Luke Hinchcliffe with a programme of music from around the world.
Yogadoo’s family yoga and relaxation sessions for children have been so popular on our Terrace bar, we’ve included a mass yoga session in our downstairs foyer space for the final day of Hoo-Ha! Through music and meditation, find your zen to start your day in a special hour-long yoga session designed specifically for little people and their patents and carers.

Award-winning kid’s yoga company YOGADOO is running free drop in family yoga and relaxation sessions for children (aged 4+ years) and their parents and carers. You’ll be taken on an adventure using yoga, music and mini meditation – this special 45 minute session will bring some added zen to your day.
10:00-15:00 daily, level 3
What if we told you that you can plug a cable into an apple, to control a digital musical instrument? You might not believe your ears! Yet that’s what little ones can do in this workshop from Conductive Music. Plus, if you think robots only exist in science labs, think again. Meet Quirkbot. It was not designed to make music, but it can — it just does not know it yet! Inquisitive minds can take their first magical steps into the wonderful world of coding, and make Quirkbot make music for the first time too.
Ready Sheddy Disgo
10:00-15:00 daily, level 1
It’s the disco with a difference with just one rule: leave your upside-down smiles at the door. Dance floor dudes and divas can learn new routines, shake it like a Polaroid picture in the music games and make like Drake by singing silly songs. Strictly for shiny happy people (no bullies allowed).
10:00-14:30 daily, level 2
Sit for your very own Rubbish Portraits! Lucie Sheridan offers very quick, while-you-sit, brilliant brush and ink portraits from her unique “photo booth”. They’re not rubbish but actually very good! Just remember – no smiling please!
£2.00 charge per portrait
