The Gruffalo & Room On The Broom

Part of Hoo-Ha! festival 2018

“Silly old Fox! Doesn’t he know? There’s no such thing as a Gruffalo!”

Accompanying screenings of the animated TV films, Terry Davies conducts René Aubry’s inspired scores for the much-loved children’s classics The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom. Based on the books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, The Gruffalo tells the enchanting story of a mouse who goes in search of a nut, whereas Room on the Broom is the tale of a kind witch who invites a surprising collection of animals on her broom.

Performed by the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, with Terry Davies as conductor/presenter, and Huw Davies on guitar. Music composed by René Aubry.
