Festival of Sound – UWE Bristol

The UWE Bristol Orchestra and Singers perform Karl Jenkins’ epic Songs of the Earth to open the headline 4pm concert for this year’s Festival of Sound. We also welcome the UWE Bristol Big Band, and special guests the Bristol Reggae Orchestra and a massed ensemble from partner primary schools for the second half, for breathtaking performances and a sensational massed finale. Throughout the day there will be free fringe events, ranging from rock bands, hip-hop artists, jazz groups, experimental sounds, our Gospel and Pop choirs, as well as surprise pop-up performances all over the building. Come and immerse yourself in this truly collaborative festival, curated by the UWE Bristol Centre for Music and celebrating some of the breadth of musical activity in the University, the city and our schools.

This is a seated show, with informal performances in The Lantern and Foyer from 11am.
