BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominees Faustus “rescue contemporary folk from the curse of feyness” (Independent) with a sound “that encompasses everything that’s best in modern traditional music” (Acoustic). The trio – featuring Bellowhead’s Benji Kirkpatrick and Paul Sartin and Waterson:Carthy’s Saul Rose – will play material from Broken Down Gentlemen, “a knees-up album … [that’s] full of subtlety and thoughtfulness” (BBC Music).
