Christmas with The Salvation Army 2017

The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas spectacular is to be held once again in the beautiful and historic surroundings of St Mary Redcliffe – described by Queen Elizabeth I as the ‘fairest, goodliest and most famous parish church in England.’

Join us for a Christmas celebration of carols, readings and festive music with musicians from The Salvation Army in Bristol Easton. The inimitable David Garmston, presenter of BBC Points West, will once again be guiding us through the evening, along with contributions from BBC’s Liz Beacon and Bristol-born actor Joe Sims, famous for his role in ITV’s drama Broadchurch.

Guest soloist Craig Yates is a long-standing member of the Welsh vocal group, Only Men Aloud, with whom he has enjoyed considerable success – including winning both BBC’s Last Choir Standing and a Classical Brit Award for best album. Craig was born in Birmingham and studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, before training at the world-renowned Mariinsky Academy in Russia.

All proceeds will be used to further The Salvation Army’s social work in the city.

Don’t miss this perfect opportunity to kick-start your festive season and celebrate Christmas with The Salvation Army!
