BSO Heroes and Superheroes

Conductor Pete Harrison

Hear the themes from:

James Bond, Apollo 13, Marvel Avengers, Harry Potter, Batman, Superman, Disney’s Hercules, The Incredibles, Spiderman, Lord of the Rings plus works by Wagner, Beethoven and Rossini.

Last season we headed off to Hollywood for Blockbusters 2013 before returning classically ‘Chilled’ in May. This year Pete Harrison’s back at the head of some iconic cinema heroes and superheroes. Time to dim the house lights, pass the popcorn, and settle down in the company of the A-listers! Stirred not shaken, James Bond rubs shoulders with colossuses of the comic strip; Spiderman, Superman and Batman compare notes, and there’s real-life heroics fingering the crew of Apollo 13 in Ron Howard’s 1995 movie whose score bagged an Academy Award nomination. With Harry Potter working his magic too… utterly wizard!
