Colston Hall will host the first five days of this year’s 12-day festival.
All five floors of our foyer will be transformed into a celebration of food from demos with some of the top chefs in the business, to stimulating conversations, a buzzing market and delectable pop-up supper clubs to challenge the mind and tantalise the taste buds.
Brain Food is a vibrant and diverse programme of talks and debates getting us to think more consciously about what we eat. From brain feasts (larger panel discussions and debates with experts) to brain snacks (workshops and demonstrations), the programme will provoke thought and wider conversation about perhaps the most natural entity in our existence–food.
Business Bootcamp is a day dedicated to businesses wanting to get to the next level. Food Connections are offering a full day of masterclasses from business professionals and experts who have been through it all and come out the other side, and are now willing to share their secrets of success.
We’re inviting guests to come and learn from some of Bristol’s best business entrepreneurs, covering some of the most important things to consider when growing a business.
Bristol Food Connections gives support and shines a light on campaigns and movements that are making real positive change in our society. Addressing issues from food poverty to sustainability, these events in the festival aim to spark debate and empower community causes.
The Demo Kitchen is where festival goers can really get close to the action. Bristol FoodConnections presents a series of chefs sharing their talents, recipes, and passions in the Colston Hall Demo Kitchen. Learn about your favourite ingredients in an entirely new way and rediscover the wonder and excitement of food.
Music and Feasts
Both food and music are equally expressive of cultural identities, of marking celebrations and signifying relationships. In this year’s festival delve into the Love Food Market, dine with chefs from across the world and celebrate the connections between food and music.
