In Bristol Choral Society’s first concert of the 2019/20 season, the choir will be performing a collection of exciting and inspiring works by contemporary British composers, accompanied by piano duet and percussion.
The programme includes Cecilia McDowall’s ‘A Time for all Seasons’, a cantata composed in 2016 with the well-known text from ‘Ecclesiastes’, interwoven with a modern-day reworking of these verses by the award-winning poet Kevin Crossley-Holland.
The choir will also welcome back the Bristol Youth Choir, courtesy of Bristol Plays Music, to join us in Bob Chilcott’s ‘Songs and Cries of London Town.
