The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra returned with Constantin Silvestri to Colston Hall, performing a programme with an emphasis on music of the romantic genre. Enesco’s ‘Suite No.1’ was played alongside Debussy’s Symphonic Fragments from ‘La Mer’. Cellist Amaryllis Fleming was the soloist in Tchaikovsky’s ‘Variations On A Rococo Theme’ and Saint-Saëns’ ‘Cello Concerto No.1 in A minor’.
