Blanck Mass

British electronic producer Blanck Mass (Benjamin John Power) has responded to the socio-political trials and tribulations felt by many in 2016 with new record ‘World Eater’. It’s a genre-bending effort due to be released in March 2017 which confronts both “the inner beast inside human beings that when grouped en-masse stops us from moving forward towards good, and a reference to human beings themselves and their place on the planet.”

Drawing influence from drone music, post-rock and electronica, the music generated by Blanck Mass is always experimental and uncompromising, but the new material is founded equally in hope as well as fear. As Power says. “Fear and hope are both parts of our human make up, but it’s the way that we act upon these feelings that is of concern to me – to understand the beast or to become the beast.”
