Loudly and proudly presenting shows in venues of all shapes and sizes across the city.
In light of the Mayor’s announcement on Tuesday 25 March cancelling all major events in Bristol until July 2020, we regret to say that we will be postponing our Colston Hall Presents Harbourside shows with Belle & Sebastian (Fri 17 July) and Nile Rodgers & CHIC (Wed 16 and Thu 17 July).
We are already working hard with artists to reschedule as many events as possible. We will be contacting all customers directly to advise on this situation.
We ask customers to please retain their tickets and wait for information on rescheduled dates before requesting a refund, and thank you for your patience at this time.
It will inevitably take us a little while to work through all events. Our box office phone lines are currently closed, so please avoid trying to contact us directly. Rest assured, you will hear from us. For more information, please see our FAQs here.
We have already announced the cancellation or postponement of all Colston Hall Presents events taking place prior to Thursday 30 April. Following the Mayor’s announcement, all remaining Colston Hall Presents events scheduled to take place between Friday 1 May and the end of July will also continue to be reviewed, and we will make a further announcement on the status of these events in the coming days.
Furthermore, given the ongoing disruption to our live events programme, we will be extending all existing memberships by one year. Again we will contact Members directly in the coming days and weeks to confirm this.
We are sorry to have to make this announcement given all the hard work that has gone into the events, and share our audience’s inevitable disappointment – however we will comply with all measures being put in place to halt the spread of Coronavirus.
Colston Hall proudly presents indie-pop icons Belle and Sebastian at The Amphitheatre, Bristol Harbourside on Fri 17 Jul 2020.
Led by Stuart Murdoch, Glasgow’s Belle and Sebastian have provided the soundtrack for love-struck teens and yearning adults for over 25 years. Creating beautiful, sensitive work that harnesses the power of 60s-nodding pop melodies and a whimsical charm, the band’s back catalogue has “a song for every mood” (Louder Than War), delivering enigmatic yet “life-affirming chamber pop” (The Guardian) at every turn.
Belle and Sebastian are joined by very special guests Mercury Prize-nominated four-piece Django Django, whose genre bending art rock and “dense, heady sound” (Pitchfork) has earned them lasting popularity since their self-titled 2012 debut album.
Having played to a sold-out crowd at Colston Hall in 2015, this very special Harbourside gig marks Belle and Sebastian’s triumphant return to Bristol and their biggest show in the city to date.
This summer, against the glimmering backdrop of Bristol’s Harbourside, expect a gloriously joyous indie pop party ahead of Bristol Harbour Festival.
To help ensure tickets only go to genuine fans and are not touted the following terms and conditions have been agreed.
This is a standing event. All areas of The Amphitheatre are wheelchair accessible and there is a raised viewing platform towards the back of The Amphitheatre in a central position.
