Road Closures during our Transformation

Since June 2018 we’ve begun work inside our auditorium to prepare for the transformation of Colston Hall, the largest capital arts programme ever to take place in the South West. The building work has now started in earnest as we begin the demolition work. During this time there will be some restricted access to the roads surrounding our venue complex.

From January 2019 until June 2020 access to Colston Street, Trenchard Street and Lodge Street will be affected.

Colston Street access
Temporary traffic lights are in place on Colston Street immediately outside our old box office entrance. This 100m section of Colston Street will be a traffic light controlled one way system.

The Colston Street bus stop will remain in operation and services should not be disrupted.

Pedestrian access to Colston Street is unaffected.

Lodge Street access
The lower half of Lodge Street nearest to Colston Hall is closed. Access to the Trenchard Street NCP car park and to the top half of Lodge Street can be gained as normal via Park Row.

Pedestrian access to Lodge Street is unaffected.

Trenchard Street Access
Trenchard Street is closed immediately after the NCP car park entrance from the Pipe Lane end up to Colston Street.

Pedestrian access to Trenchard Street remains unaffected.

Business along Trenchard Street, including the Porridge Project, remain open throughout this road closure.
