Barry Walsh: A Touch of Acoustic

Starring Barry Walsh, Jane Taylor and Emily Teague.

Generous to up and coming performers, Barry Walsh hosts many open night stands and that is where he often discovers and nurtures new talent. Barry has been compared to Elvis Costello delivering his strong melodies which are instantly likable. His song ‘Don’t Break My Heart‘ was played on ITV’s Coronation Street much to the delight of his fellow performers and fans. His latest song Gypsy Moon has been classed in the style of Neil Diamond and has interested publishing companies.

A lot of his music is dedicated to the charity Child Safe. Barry in his own words says ‘I turn stones and will never give up ‘as a person Barry is a delight with a genuine warm personality, he never fails to captivate an audience and at long last he can perform at his favourite venue Bristol’s Colston Hall.

Jane Taylor has won acclaim recently with her song called ‘Fall on Me ‘that was recently played on Radio 2’s Johnny Walker’s Drive Time as he was inundated by emails wanting to know more about Jane Taylor. The song was in fact taken from her debut album ‘Montpelier’ released under her own label, bicycle Records.

Jane performed on live Radio 2 sessions and received such acclaim that she supported slots with Bill Wyman, Jooles Holland and Paul Buchanan.Angelo Bruschini of Massive Attack was so impressed with her style that while recording her first single her offered to play guitar for her. Jane has toured throughout the UK and has built up a massive following.

Her new album ‘Compass ‘has recently been released receiving acclaim in its style (classical Vaughn Williams, Steinway piano, Gospel Choir and even a Colliery Brass Band!) Jane is no ordinary singer/songwriter she has an intangible magic in her voice that draws you in and holds you right there until that moment you have forgotten to breathable prepared to be ‘spellbound’

Emily Teague certainly has the reputation of writing a good song and has an instinctive flair to tell a story that is now creating a ‘buzz’ she is carving a name for herself on the Bristol music scene and beyond. Emily is proud of her strong local following that has people saying that Emily is one of the best kept musical secret to emerge from Bristol for years.

Specialising in a folk/country style with a rocky edge, Emily delivers with crafted phrasing and delicate soul. She has been known to silence the rowdiest of crowds, Poignant lyrics and beautiful guitar playing is simply heart warming that will leave you feeling touched by her sheer honesty.
