Mary Chapin Carpenter

Mary Chapin Carpenter - Friday 29th October

EVENT EXPIRED
Mary Chapin Carpenter

Over the last twenty years multi-Grammy award winner Mary Chapin Carpenter has forged out a career as one of the world’s foremost female singer-songwriters, defying descriptions and genres while producing classic material such as ‘Passionate Kisses’, ‘He Thinks He'll Keep Her’ and ‘I Take My Chances’. Her new record, ‘The Age of Miracles’ is a personal exploration of regret and resilience as a well as larger, more universal expression of wonder at the times we are living in.

Supporting Mary will be Tift Merritt. Tift follows a country-soul tradition that harks back Dusty Springfield and Bobbie Gentry and is frequently referred to as her generation’s answer to Lucinda Williams. A brilliantly talented songwriter, as well as gifted singer and guitarist, her new record ‘See You On The Moon’ is widely regarded as her best yet.
