Lucy Wainwright-Roche is literally following in her illustrious family's footsteps, her father Loudon Wainwright III, her mother Suzzy Roche (The Roches), not to mention her brother and sister Rufus and Martha Wainwright - Lucy Wainwright-Roche is stamping her very own indelible mark on the music scene.
Needless to say music is very much in Lucy’s blood and when her brother Rufus Wainwright invited her to sing on one of his 2006 US tours, she left the teaching classroom to pursue her love of music.
Lucy began writing her own songs and recorded her debut CD in 2007, receiving rave reviews and acclaim from national radio. It became a favourite amongst fans and critics alike.
She has honed her stagecraft and sharpened her dreamy guitar based melodies on tour with Teddy Thompson, Amos Lee and Dar Williams. Her majestic voice and refreshingly honest songwriting paints a beautiful picture making her an instant hit with audiences wherever she plays.
