David grew up to the piano trio sounds of Peterson, Tatum and Garner. He quickly shot to the top of the UK jazz scene involving Alan Barnes, Bruce Adams, Art Themens, Martin Taylor etc. He has written extensively for TV and musical productions and has accompanied star singers Marion Montgomery, Tina May, Annie Ross, Claire Martin and Stacey Kent etc. David relishes the idiom of the jazz trio (described by Oscar Peterson as “The ultimate jazz machine”) and looks forward to being let loose on the Colston Hall’s fine full-size concert grand piano.
