Cass Caswell’s Big-Band-plus-Guests moves to Colston Hall
Following his very popular eight-year run of Big Band concerts at Seymour’s Club, this event starts Cass’ new series of Sunday jazz at Colston Hall 2, each featuring the best in big and small band jazz, enhanced with star jazz guests.
Tommy Whittle - One of the jazz saxophone greats. Played with Ted Heath, BBC Showband, Stan Kenton, Jack Parnell, Bing Crosby, Peggy Lee, Barbra Streisland, Jacqui Dankworth etc. Runs his own 5-10-piece band, and renowned for his exciting playing.
Barbara Jay - Carved an illustrious career singing for Geoff Love, Ronnie Scott, Harry Hayes, Benny Goodman etc. Married Tommy Whittle which gave rise to the formidable jazz sax and vocal team which we present today.
