Visitor Information Accessibility

The Gotan Project, live on stage at Colston Hall, 2 May 2003 - Image Martin Thompson Photography

We regret that due to the front facade of Colston Hall having listed-building status, there is limited accessibility to some parts of our building, but as part of our redevelopment project we have been able to resolve significant problems.

There is a dedicated accessible entrance on Trenchard Street and a chair lift in the stalls foyer providing access to the Colston Hall Bar. The bar itself has been altered to add a lowered accessible counter.

Please be aware that access to the balcony and box office areas are currently by stairs only.

Assistance

If you require assistance to attend an event at the Colston Hall, an assistant can be admitted free of charge. Please ask about ‘Essential Carer’ tickets when booking.
If you prefer to be unaccompanied, assistance around, into and from the building will be provided by staff, if requested. Please ask about this.

Infra-red hearing system

On arrival, please contact a Duty Manager or Steward for loan of an infra-red necklet receiver, to be used in conjunction with your hearing aid.

Registered assistance dogs

Are admitted to the auditorium.

Accessible toilets

Our accessible toilet facilities are at stalls level.

Brochures

All our print is available in large print, braille or as an audio tape. To receive one of these either phone the box office on 0117 922 3686, or send them an email.
