A night of comedy, music, poetry and speeches
Since Jeremy Corbyn became Labour Party leader he has transformed his own party and the way politics is conducted in this country. The #JC4PM tour celebrates his new politics with appearances from a stellar line up of comedians, musicians, poets and speakers. This special show is compered by comedy legend Jeremy Hardy.
The full line-up for the night includes:
Billy Bragg, singer/songwriter and political activist (‘Red Wedge’, ‘A new England’, ‘Between the Wars’). He has supported many campaigns over the years, including the 1984 miners’ strike and Charter 88.
Jeremy Hardy*, comedian (former ‘Perrier Award’ winner), actor (‘Blackadder Goes Forth’), TV panellist (‘QI’, ‘Mock the Week’), radio panelist (‘The News Quiz’, ‘I’m sorry I Haven’t a Clue’, ‘Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation’)
Francesca Martinez, comedian (‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’), actress (‘Extras’), author (‘What the **** is Normal?’), radio panelist (‘The News Quiz’)
Wil Hodgson, comedian (former ‘Best Newcomer’ at Edinburgh Festival), former wrestler from Chippenham with tales of cider and carebears!
Grace Petrie, singer/songwriter (described by the Guardian as “a powerful new songwriting voice”). Has made several appearances on BBC4’s ‘The Now Show’ and has recorded seven highly acclaimed albums.
Rob Deering, comedian (‘Jason Manford’s Comedy Rocks’), writer (‘Out to Lunch’), TV host (’99 Things To Do Before You Die’)
Clare Ferguson-Walker, poet (following successful Edinburgh show, touring with John Cooper-Clarke)
