The musician, actor, DJ, artist and Drum and Bass icon’s seminal album Timeless is performed live by the Heritage Orchestra in the stunning outdoor setting of Bristol’s Harbourside.
Goldie and The Heritage Orchestra have expanded and reworked the tracks to be performed by full orchestra, band, choir, electronics, and guest vocalists. Conducted by Charles Hazlewood, this momentous outdoor gig in Lloyd’s Amphitheatre is the only performance outside of London.
Named by The Guardian as one of the fifty most significant events in the history of dance music, Timeless is a truly landmark album.
“…an astonishing… symphony of whizzing breakbeats, fluid soundscapes and mind-warping moodswings…” (NME, ‘Albums of the Year’, 1995)
“the ranks of strings, horns and singers floated their way through the album’s spaced-out atmospherics while a massive percussion section and two sweat-soaked drummers recreated Goldie’s impossibly-complex unstinting breakbeats” (Londonist)
This one-off event is brought to the city by Bristol Music Trust, the organisation behind Colston Hall, produced by Goldie and Chris Wheeler and originally commissioned by Southbank Centre, London.
The afterparty will see a full foyer takeover featuring some of the best DJs in the game, and rolling till the early hours of the morning. Afterparty information can be found here
