Come and Sing – In Memoriam John Tavener

Clifton International Festival of Music

Festival Director Tom Williams leads this choral workshop and concert of music by the late Sir John Tavener and his contemporaries. Throughout the afternoon the choir will rehearse some of the favourites for which Sir John became a household name including Song for Athene and The Lamb, and these will be juxtaposed with works of the Orthodox tradition by Arvo Pärt and Henryck Gorecki.

In the beautiful acoustic of Clifton Cathedral this promises to be a very moving experience for performers and audience alike.
