A Tale of Two Cities: London and Paris – Stage and Street
Lully Le Bourgeois et les Gentilshommes (excerpts)
Ars Eloquentiae present an evening at the Baroque theatre with music from Locke’s The Tempest and Lully’s Le Bourgeois Gentilshomme. But this is only half the story. The seedy and seditious sub-cultures of the capitals’ street songs will also be explored and performed thanks to new research by Dr Nicholas Hammond of Cambridge University.
Ars Eloquentiae return to Clifton after a hugely successful concert at last year’s inaugural Festival.
