Kyle Eastwood, son of film director and actor Clint, is an acclaimed jazz bassist, composer and bandleader in his own right and will be bringing his Trio to Colston Hall on Friday 4 June.

Eastwood’s bass-led contemporary jazz has graced the soundtrack of Oscar winning films like Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby and is gaining a great live following throughout the world, with BBC online calling them a ‘hot live act.’

Brought up on a diet of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Miles Davis, Kyle's childhood had jazz as its soundtrack. Having paid his dues as a gigging session player, Kyle began to make his mark on the US scene with a series of acclaimed releases, from his 1998 debut to 2006's Now.

Kyle returned to the studio last year for Metropolitan, a groove-laden collaboration with the cream of contemporary jazz (among others Manu Katché, Eric Legnini and French vocalist Camille).

Kyle Eastwood Band will be coming to Colston Hall on Friday 4 June. Tickets cost £15 and £10 for students and can be bought by calling 0117 922 3686 or online at www.colstonhall.org
