Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, reggae’s most influential father figure and musical trailblazer, is playing his first concert in Bristol for 6 years at Colston Hall on 1st May and tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.
The groundbreaking producer and artist has worked with the likes of Bob Marley & The Wailers, Max Romero and The Clash and was at the forefront of shaping the laid back dub sound with his solo work and innovative use of samples.
He was recently voted one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and consistently comes up with some of the most eccentric and thrilling live shows around – all at the age of 74.
