Made in Bristol Gift Fair this weekend

The Made in Bristol Gift Fair, taking place on Saturday 5th and Saturday 12th December, is spread over the bottom three floors of the shiny new foyer building at Colston Hall and is based around the idea that buying locally produced and handmade presents makes for better gift-giving and is more environmentally friendly.
80 participating local artists will have their work on sale at the event and buyers will be able to buy beautiful one off originals, small batch productions and unique gifts that are the result of skill and craftsmanship absent in the world of large-scale manufacturing. Buying direct from local makers is also a more personal experience and gives consumers the opportunity to ask questions about the gifts they are buying.
This original concept is the brainchild of Bristol based event organiser Bryony Morgan. ‘All the projects I initiate champion the wealth of local creativity be that food, art or music related. I am lucky that there is no shortage of this in Bristol.’ Amongst several other projects Bryony runs the weekly Sunday market at the Tobacco Factory, facilitates the Bristol Chefs Network and is Jamaica Street Artists studio coordinator.
The event runs from 11am - 4pm on both days with free admission with live music and dining facilities at Colston Hall's H Bar cafe and bistro to entertain you while you shop.
