This accredited course deconstructs the creative process and gives you the opportunity to gain insight into the working methods of music industry professionals. The course is facilitated by active professional local musicians and contains master classes delivered by industry professionals who cut their teeth on the Bristol circuit.
During this level 2 accredited course you will learn the skills necessary to promote live music events and gain a deeper understanding of how music related businesses use promotion in order to succeed. Learners will gain a deeper understanding of the principles of promotional communication and publication and gain a deeper appreciation of the importance of promotion within the industry.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Assess the different ways that the music business uses promotion in order to succeed
- Use effective promotional language and a variety of promotional tools
- Utilize the basic principles of promotional communication and publication
- Understand the importance of effective artist liaison
- Design and produce a marketing strategy and materials for an event
- To raise the profile of Colston Hall Education as a centre for providing high quality courses for adults
