Bristol Plays Music (BPM) is Arts Council England’s Music Education Hub for the city of Bristol.
It will ensure that the legacy of Bristol City Council Arts and Music Service (BAMS)’ success in delivering high-quality music education to over 8,000 children a year is preserved and is strengthened by the partnership with Colston Hall Education.
As part of Bristol Music Trust; BAMS and Colston Hall Education will work together to create a single programme of work that spans formal and non-formal music education. BPM aims to ensure that every young person has access to music education activities and a platform for musical expression. BPM will join up the opportunities for teaching, learning and performance and will promote an inspiring shared culture of music making whilst drawing upon the extraordinary richness of talent across the city.
