Spring is in the air as the Philharmonia brings our season to a close with a sunburst of lyrical optimism masterminded by the gifted young chief Conductor Mikko Franck.
Mahler likened his 4th Symphony to "the undifferentiated blue of the sky", and award-winning soprano Lisa Milne won't be the only star twinkling on the night. Prokoviev's evergreen concerto is played by Viviane Hagner who the Washington Post says plays with "an almost hauntingly masterful display of technique and artistry."
The Philharmonia might only be making one apperance this season but it's a cracker! 'Heavenly' Mahler, mellow Prokofiev and a starry team including renowned Scottish soprano Lisa Milne.
